Geoff Rezek was born in Astoria, N.Y., in 1941. He grew up in Port Washington, N.Y., and
graduated from high school in 1959, where he was a member of the
track and football teams. He received a B.S. degree in industrial
management in 1964 and an M.S. degree in engineering management
in 1966 from Long Island University Post, Brookville, N.Y. Geoff
began his business career in 1965 as an industrial engineer at IBM’s
plants in East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Upon completing his
U.S. Army National Guard basic training, he joined IBM’s Long
Island office as a systems engineer and later became an industry
specialist. In 1983, he moved to Darien to support the IBM
installation at General Electric. Upon retiring, he joined Oracle’s J.D.
Edwards EnterpriseOne software company, and in 2001, he formed
G.R. Rezek & Associates to provide support to companies using the
software. Geoff and his wife Jackie live in Darien. They have two
adult children and four grandchildren. He is a member of the Darien YMCA and likes to play the
ukulele. He donated his collection of ukuleles and related items to the National Music Museum at
the University of South Dakota. He also enjoys working with wood and finding jokes to tell.
