Mike Glynn was born in Bridgeport in 1941 and grew up in Fairfield. He attended Fairfield Prep and graduated from Fairfield University in 1963 with a B.S. in chemistry and an M.A. in education in 1966. He earned an M.S. in chemistry from Holy Cross and a law degree from American University in 1974. Mike’s work history began with the Peace Corps, teaching in Liberia from 1963 to 1965. He worked in the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office as a patent examiner in Washington, D.C., from 1967 to 1974. He then joined Ciba-Geigy Corporation as a patent attorney. He rose to become corporate vice president and intellectual property counsel for Ciba-Geigy and its successor, Novartis Corporation, until retiring in 2000. Mike lives in Darien. He lost his wife Sandra in 2016. He has two sons and five granddaughters. He is a member of the Darien Boat Club. He enjoys cosmology, fishing and poker. Sponsored by Tom Williams
