Rick Agresta was born in Jersey City, N.J., and grew up in Union City, N.J. He graduated from St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City) in 1970, where he was active in football, track and the yearbook. He started his career in 1974 with JCPenney as a buyer and later held several management positions at a number of companies before becoming president at Terraillon, Inc. In 1999, he became a consultant at CT Consulting & Training. He joined iSi North America, Inc. in 2002, where he was president and CEO until retiring in 2017. He graduated from Columbia University with an A.B. in 1974 and from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1980 with an M.B.A. Rick and his wife Joan live in Darien. They have three children and one grandchild. He belongs to the Silvermine Golf Club, is a board member at Project Redwood (Stanford GSB Social Venture Fund) and is an active supporter of Cristo Rey New York High School in Harlem. His leisure activities include golf, theater, travel and reading.
