Steve Fritsch was born in Hartford, Conn., in 1944 and graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1962. He attended the Paier College of Art in 1966, served in the U.S. Army for two years and returned to the Pair College of Art on a scholarship. Upon graduating in 1969, he went to work at the BBDO World Wide advertising agency in New York City as an art di-rector working on a variety of accounts including Pepsi International, The Wall Street Journal and Citibank. In 1978 he began freelance work on his own that includ-ed humorous illustrations. Retiring in 1998, he began fine art painting of land-scapes and seascapes that he exhibits throughout Fairfield County. He and his wife Linda live in Darien and have two children. He is past president of the Darien Lions Club and a member of the Roton Point Association and the Rowayton Art Center.
